Magnets have to be one of the coolest things on our planet today. You might be thinking, “Yeah, they attract metal, so what?” But did you know that the Earth’s magnetic “force field” is actually created by the churning of metal alloys in its outer crust?
Magnets are fun to play with on a small scale, so I can only begin to imagine what they’re like on a much larger scale.
The video below gives shows us some of the magic that happens when you put a giant magnet through the center of a copper pipe, and well, it looks like a lot of fun!
